All our guides are bilingual; experiences can be carried out in English or in Spanish.

Costa Rica has two seasons, a rainy season that lasts from May to November and our summer season that is from December to April. Weather is very variable in between seasons. But for adventurers and nature lovers, that won’t be a problem, since you will always make the best out of it. Costa Rica is a tropical rainforest country, so the correct clothing is the best guarantee to have a good time.

We occasionally (approximately 5 times a year) have to cancel tours due to weather events, such as tropical storms. If the weather is not suitable to conduct the tour, Paddle 9 will cancel the experience & arrange for a refund.

Advanced reservations are highly recommended as some seasons book up far ahead of time, however we are happy to accept last minute reservations when space allows.

Reservations can be canceled up to 48 hours prior to departure time for a 100% refund. 48 to 24 hours a 50% penalty applies. Cancellations received 24 hours and less are subject to a 100% penalty. No shows are penalized at 100%.

We include transportation in all our experiences from any Quepos or Manuel Antonio hotel or rental house. We do not include transportation for locations outside of this range, however, we are able to assist with arrangements for an additional fee. Contact us to receive your options and our pricing for your location.

Yes, you can meet us at our Paddle 9 tour office in the village of Quepos. Check for “Paddle 9” on Waze or Google Maps for directions. Parking is available nearby our office and you may store any valuables or belongings during your excursion at the office.

We send professional photographers on most of our waterfall tours and you may purchase your images right on tour. If you definitely want a photographer available for your experience, contact us ahead of time to arrange and assist with pricing.
