Trip Overview
On our private tours, we will be off the beaten path for the whole day. This tour embodies what Costa Rica is all about. We will share with you our knowledge of the area along with our passion for adventuring.
Our private tours are fully customizable! Spend the day jumping off of waterfalls, kayaking, paddle boarding, seeing unique wildlife or a combination of these activities.

Good to Know
Please advise us of any health conditions, recent injuries (especially back, neck or shoulder surgeries) or medical procedures that could affect your tour experience. Let us know about pregnancy, back pains, and any walking as well as dietary restrictions or preferences.
We have two rules at Paddle 9: 1) Be safe! and 2) Have serious fun! Paddle 9 prides itself in running safe tours and transport with the best logistics and safety procedures in the industry. Our guides and staff are well-trained in emergency situations and take your safety very seriously. Should an accident occur, we are covered by a comprehensive umbrella liability insurance policy.

Don’t Just Take Our Word For It!
Took the family on the Eco-Chontales waterfall experience. Paddle 9 is a class act from the start, starting with the hotel pick-up where you learn Costa Rican trivia, history, and culture on the ride up. Once we arrived we were literally the only people at the waterfall for an adrenaline-rushing experience like no other. We would definitely recommend Paddle 9. Shout out to Ismael, Damian, and Matt… If you spend a day with these guys you will experience Pura Vida and learn what Costa Rica is all about!!!

Great time and Great guides Went with a family of 4 and a friend. Kids 11 and 9. Had an awesome time. Guides couldn't have been better. Our main guides were Alex and Damian. They had so many interesting facts and stories to share. Every one of the guides seemed genuinely happy to be there and to share this experience with you. Wonderful knowledge of the area and the country. They made everyone feel very safe every step of the way. It was obviously their biggest priority. Even if you didn't want to jump there was plenty for everyone to do and to enjoy.read more

Fun day SUPing and waterfalls We had a superb day with guides Ken, Mambo and Alonso, and thanks to Eric for his smooth driving. The day started being collected by Ken for a peaceful and very safe first ever experience of stand up paddle boarding. He was so patient and kind with us and filled us with confidence. We then met the rest of the group and guides and had a lot of fun jumping into water pools at separate waterfalls. Again, ultimate care and safety throughout. Lunch at a Talapia farm followed by a trip to a local beach. A wonderful day and well worth it.read more
